MultiVersus no longer confirms progress resets during the big open beta release

During testing of MultiVersus, Warner Bros.’ new platformer, players were regularly subjected to progression resets. However, aside from yesterday’s open beta release, the game will no longer have resets, allowing players to keep their progression forever.

As stressed by PC gamerin an announcement on the MultiVersus Discord Server, Warner Bros. Social and Community Director Nikki Grantham explained how progress will work in the future. “If you played during the Early Access period, all of your progression on ALL characters you play between 7/19 and 7/19 will be and the 25.07. played, saved (yay!),” Grantham said.

“So don’t worry if you can’t unlock all the characters you’ve previously played, keep your progress and continue once they’re in free rotation or when you unlock them,” Grantham added.

Alongside this announcement, Grantham also spoke about the game’s new character rotation system, which will offer players a small roster of free characters that rotate every two weeks.

“The character progression you earn on these Early Access characters during that time frame will be SAVED so when they come back into rotation (or when you unlock them with in-game gold) you can pick up right where you left off . ‘ Grantham said.

MultiVersus Characters

MultiVersus went into open beta yesterday and had an absolutely massive launch, Reaching over 144,000 concurrent players. The appeal is playing as one of WB’s surprisingly extensive and diverse character libraries, including Batman, Shaggy, Arya Stark, and more.
