NBC officially announces the air date of season 22 of The Voice

ABC
“The Voice” returns.
For months, fans have been asking when The Voice season 22 will air. Well, the answer is finally here. According to an official Announcement on NBC Insider, “The Voice season 22 will premiere Monday, September 19 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. It also airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.”
So fans are getting a double dose of their favorite singing competition, and it looks like every week will be. NBC states, “The same times will be maintained as always: Mondays from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET and Tuesdays from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.”
Staying true to its traditional format, Monday nights will feature performances by contestants once the show goes live, and Tuesday night host Carson Daly will announce audience voting results. Before that, blind auditions are held, followed by rounds where the coaches can decide who stays.
Notable talent is on the way
The day after his birthday on June 22nd Daly posted on Instagram, “Can’t wait for you all to see it in September! The talent is maybe the best I’ve ever seen.” After 11 years of hosting the show, that’s quite a statement.
NBC also announced the premiere date on Instagram, which got some fans pretty excited. The post read: “Current mood! 🤩 #TheVoice returns on @nbc on September 19 with @blakeshelton, @johnlegend, @gwenstefani and @camila_cabello.”
one viewer reacts“So happy the voice is coming back!!!” another wrote, “Can’t wait to watch! #teamcamila.” Another wrote: “So excited for this season 🔥🔥🔥”
Some fans are disappointed with the line-up
Though Daly suggests amazing talent will emerge this season, many fans are more interested in the coaches. Many viewers said on Instagram that they will not be watching because Kelly Clarkson will not be on the show in season 22.
In May, Clarkson announced that she would not be returning to The Voice. Shortly after, it was announced on TikTok that Camila Cabello would be taking her place. Not long before that, Ariana’s departure from the show was made public, as was the fact that Blake Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani, would be returning as a trainer.
Most ‘Voice’ fans were already aware of these changes before NBC announced the June 29 premiere date. However, some Instagram users seemed shocked and upset by the news. one user called, “No @kellyclarkson ?!?! She’s my favorite coach of all time.” That reaction was reflected Similar posts, like “What?? No Kelly?😢”, “Where is @kellyclarkson???” and “@kellyclarkson where are youuu😢”
Those who were already aware of the coaching change knew that Clarkson had decided to take the summer off to spend time with her kids and pursue other avenues in her career. That knowledge didn’t make fans any less upset about Clarkson’s absence.
One disappointed fan lamented“So sad about Kelly 😢.” Another explained“imma pass with no kelly and ariana” and one viewer wrote“No, the show won’t be the same without Kelly.”
Some fans quickly defended the new coaching line-up. one wrote“People don’t understand that these artists have commitments, especially Clarkson with her TV show and other tours. Enjoy the show with whoever you get as a judge.” Another explained“I’m glad Kelly isn’t there this season. She has way too many commitments plus kids. Glad she’s on a break.”
For those who still want to see “The Voice” Clarkson and Grande without Clarkson and Grande, you can tune in on NBC starting September 19 at 8 p.m. ET Mondays and Tuesdays.
