NeNe Leakes has been making some bold claims on social media lately, when she recently tweeted that she was being “blacklisted” and “abused” after leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Leakes is synonymous with the “real housewives” and is often considered one of the most iconic housewives of any franchise.

On April 12, Leakes continued writing Twitter“They always blacklist you if you tell the truth.” Shortly after, she added, “Stop harassing me, my business and my family! Stop tracking me, stop blacklisting black women for telling the truth, stop paying lawyers not to file discrimination claims! STOP IT.”

The tweets came about a week after Leakes updated her Twitter bio to read: “BLACKLISTED BECAUSE TELLING THE TRUTH AND WANT TO BE ABUSED NO MORE! RECEIPTTSSS.” She added “BLACKLISTED” to her Instagram bio and posted a series of text images about her Instagram. The white text on a black background read: “Support Black Women”.

Leakes retweeted several fans who shared and discussed a video of Kandi Burruss speaking about Leakes’ claims

Leakes announced that she would be leaving RHOA for good after season 12 and has not appeared on any other shows since. Leakes also gave her retweets a little more context when she shared a tweet from a fan who wrote, “Everything you said has come true. Now they’re just trying to save face by getting certain talents to publicly refute your claims. And they are given bones to keep them calm.”

Leakes also shared a video tweeted by someone of her former co-star Kandi Burruss promoting her latest spin-off Kandi & the Gang and talking about Leakes and Leakes’ allegations. Burruss said she disagreed with Leakes’ boycott of Bravo and Leakes retweeted a fan who said she never shadowed Burruss and accused the “Kandi & the Gang” star of using Leakes’ name for public relations.

Burruss previously said in March 2022 that she disagreed with Leakes’ claims that Bravo and Andy Cohen were racists. Corresponding insider, Burruss said, “Realistically, I don’t agree. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. I didn’t agree,” noting that Leakes mentioned to everyone that she was “the highest paid on our show.”

In the fall of 2020, Leakes announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta after season 12 over allegedly failed contract negotiations. Shortly thereafter, the Bravo OG began accusing Bravo and Andy Cohen of racism and discrimination and called for a boycott of the network. She continued writing on December 21, 2020 Twitter“Are you ready to start this boycott yet?” She said:

After Wendy Williams discussed Leake’s departure from RHOA on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Leakes ramped up Williams and accused her of being on cocaine, then called Williams and Cohen “her old cocaine head and old racist.” . Since then, she has continued to urge her fans to boycott Bravo and to denounce the network for discriminatory actions it took against them during their time on the show vulture reported.
