New cafe and wine bar to open in St Helens town centre

A CAFÉ and wine bar will open on George Street next week, bringing another store to St Helens town centre.

The business, dubbed the Little George Quarter and housed in the former Bento Box Noodle venue on George Street, announced the news via its Facebook page, announcing it would open on January 26.

He said: “Little George Quarter is a new, small, quality and welcoming cafe wine bar which is a further addition to the expanding W. Hecklrr Enterprise Ltd ship.

“LGQ, as it is abbreviated, is located in the ‘George Street Quarter’ and near what will soon be the downtown St Helens redevelopment area.

“Our new high quality cafe wine bar is also close to St Helens Central Bus and Train Stations and walking distance to St Helens Theater Royal and Totally Wicked Stadium, home of St Helens RLFC.”

The venue said it will be “beautifully designed”.

It is planned to be open from early morning to late evening, offering breakfast, light snacks, snacks and afternoon tea or coffee, as well as a selection of fine wines, spirits and draft beers.

Latest addition

It will be another addition to the George Street area, which is home to venues such as La Casa Vieja, Ba’bursi, the Green Olive and the Royal Alfred.
