A clothing line celebrates an iconic moment from Andie MacDowell’s past. The Hallmark star has a long history of glitzy Hollywood moments, including this vintage moment celebrated in a new fashion debut.
A new piece in a clothing line is inspired by what MacDowell wore for a 1997 film premiere
Designer Anna Sui created a dress with butterfly wings that Andie MacDowell wore to the 1997 premiere of her film Michael. For Anna Sui’s Spring 2023 collection, the designer has reintroduced a reimagined version of the same wings.
Anna Sui wrote on Instagram: “For the Spring 2023 collection, Anna has recreated her beloved butterfly wings worn by Andie MacDowell, @andiemacdowell, at the premiere of her film ‘Michael’ in 1997.”
MacDowell commented, “I remember discovering this designer and thinking how cool I would be to wear her stuff. Sorry but could the smile be bigger❤️.”
Sui replied: “Thanks Andie!!! It was such a thrill and honor that you wear it!!! ❤️💜❤️xxx Anna.”
Chase Sui miracle wore the Spring 2023 butterfly wings on Anna Sui’s Fall Winter 2023 show during New York Fashion Week. Vogue reports that the event took place in mid-February at a club called Heaven Can Wait. Vogue noted that the entire show was about “hyping” Sui’s own past and throwing in fashion moments from the ’90s and ’60s.

MacDowell said it was easier to get work back then
In a 2019 interview about the film “Michael” with vulture, MacDowell recalled that it was easier to get work back then. She said she lives in Montana with three children and would go home for about three months at a time before calling her agent to find another job.
“Then I knew it was time to get a job, so I called my agent,” she recalls. “It was a lot easier back then because your thirties are the prime time for your career as a woman. I’d say, ‘Start sending me some scripts.’”
MacDowell starred in the film with John Travolta.
She recalled, “He’s very generous and kind. He had his own chef and offered to feed you which was always a nice bonus. He has a very special energy around him.”
Today, MacDowell is one of the main characters in Hallmark’s new series, The Way Home. And Roadside Attractions bought the rights to their comedy My Happy Ending. appointment reported. It hit theaters on February 24. The film is about an actor who goes incognito for medical treatment and meets three unique women in the hospital.
MacDowell also shared that she is on a private celebrity dating app called Raya, Fox News reported. She said she was there “primarily to do research for my new show.”
