New PUBG map release date for Xbox and PS4 – When is Deston coming out?
The new PUBG map for Xbox and PS4 consoles will be released this week, following Deston’s launch on Steam earlier this month.
The good news is that all platforms will be back on par when it comes to Battlegrounds content very soon.
However, there will also be a new update to download and maintenance to wait before the new map can be played.
Here’s what we know so far about this week’s maintenance, update, and new map release schedule for the PUBG console.

When is Deston coming to Xbox and PlayStation?
The new Deston PUBG map arrives on consoles on Thursday, July 21 after maintenance ending at 4am PT (12pm BST).
Based on what was shared by Krafton, the server downtime begins July 20 at 9:00 PM PT and will last approximately seven hours. During this time, PUBG Live matches will not be able to join and most players will have to wait for the maintenance to complete.
The same downtime is not planned on the PC platform, meaning PUBG Battlegrounds will continue to be accessible via Steam. So it will be possible to switch between different versions if that is an option.
The live maintenance schedule looks like this:
PDT: Jul 20 9pm – Jul 21 4am
CEST: July 21, 6:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m
KST: July 21, 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m
As confirmed by Krafton earlier this year, Update 18.2 brings a brand new 8×8 map: Deston, a new vehicle: Airboat, a new weapon: O12, Survivor Pass: Deston, a new system: Workshop, Weapon Mastery Overhaul and more Miramar improvements.
The PUBG development team has confirmed that Deston can be played as a featured map in TPP and FPP format. There will also be solo, duo and squad options including 1-man squads available in custom matches and sandbox mode (PC only).
Krafton has also warned that bots could spawn in Deston along with the following vehicles: Pickup, Dacia, Coupe RB, Motorcycle, Dirt Bike, Roadster Motorcycle, Quad, Buggy, Boat, Aquarail, and Airboat.
While there will be many weapons available as floor loot, these items are not available on the new Deston map: The Flare Gun, DP-28, S12K, G36C, QBU, QBZ, K2, Sticky Bomb, Mortar, Lynx AMR, 15x Scope.
