According to the timelineNewcastle have now agreed a new deal with Under-23 prospect Dylan Stephenson, who has been on fire this season.
What’s the matter?
Well, the 19-year-old’s future at Newcastle was up in the air, although the Magpies have now agreed new terms with the exciting teenager.
the timeline believe Stephenson will be on loan with Hartlepool among potential targets.
This will be welcome news for Eddie Howe, who made the youngster shine shortly after he was replaced by Steve Bruce in November.
According to the timelineinvited Stephenson, 44, to train with the first team at Little Benton after being impressed by what he saw.
Stephenson also scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Sunderland Under-23s which will please the Toon Army.
Newcastle were set to give Dylan Stephenson his Premier League debut
We think Howe Stephenson should make his Premier League debut if Newcastle can survive with a few games left.
Aside from the Longstaff brothers, there hasn’t really been much to inspire at Newcastle Academy lately.
Under Steve Bruce the academy was neglected. So it would be huge for the Newcastle Under-23 side to see Stephenson play in the Premier League.
Imagine the motivation it would give them to impress Howe.
The 19-year-old deserves it above all. If survival can be assured soon, we see no reason why Howe shouldn’t make Stephenson a special experience.
