Accordingly The timesEddie Howe’s Newcastle United plan to place a £27million bid for Sven Botman, who rejected both the Magpies and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.

Milan Live reported earlier this month that Lille defender Botman rejected both Newcastle and Tottenham in January.

However, Newcastle haven’t given up on signing the 22-year-old Dutch centre-back.

Tottenham should take on Newcastle around Sven Botman

In our opinion, Tottenham should make an offer for Botman in the summer transfer window, just like Newcastle plan to do.

Nothing has changed for Spurs since they reportedly tried to sign the youngster in January.

Now of course we know that Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Cristian Romero are doing well at the back but there is always room for improvement in any squad.

And there is always the need for competition.

Botman is only 22 and it’s obvious the defender will improve and develop in the years to come.
