Newcastle United will hold talks over signing the £50m ‘sensational’ player today

Newcastle United are now set to negotiate further with Brighton and Hove Albion today as they pursue a huge deal for midfielder Yves Bissouma.

However, fees are not cheap; Brighton want a hefty £50m fee for Bissouma, meaning Newcastle will have to dig deep.

The deals for Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood add up to less than £50m, so this would be a big spend for the Magpies.

This is ultimately what Newcastle need – more quality in midfield to help control games in the relegation battle.
