Tottenham Hotspur may have real hopes of bringing Brentford ace Christian Eriksen back to the club amid claims he wants to stay in London.

Eriksen is at the heart of a real transfer race – something not many would have predicted last summer.

Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during the Denmark-Finland clash at Euro 2020.

Survival was the first focus and Eriksen eventually got himself back into a position where he could play again.

But after Eriksen was prevented from playing in Serie A due to the adjustment of his ICD, Eriksen’s contract at Inter Milan was torn up.

Brentford – who has major Danish influences both on and off the pitch – swooped in on a free transfer with a signed Eriksen by the end of the season.

To say Eriksen had a big impact would be an understatement.

The 30-year-old has been as creative as ever and has already recorded a goal and assists in six Premier League games for the Bees.

In the five games Eriksen has started for Brentford, they have won. Eriksen has played a huge role in Brentford appearing to provide security for another year.

The problem for Brentford now is that other clubs want to sign Eriksen.

claim of iNews that Tottenham are looking to re-sign Eriksen more than two years after his sale to Inter Milan.

Eriksen worked alongside Tottenham boss Antonio Conte at Inter and a reunion could make sense.

The Northern Echo then reported last week that Newcastle United are increasingly hoping to sign Eriksen this summer.

However, now there is a big boost for Tottenham as Football London claim that Eriksen actually wants to stay in London.

Eriksen spent six and a half years in the capital after joining Tottenham in 2013, returning to London with Brentford.

You can certainly understand why Eriksen would rather stay in London than go anywhere else because of this.

With an emotional attraction to Tottenham, a history with Conte and a penchant for staying in London, you must feel Spurs really are the favorites to nab Eriksen this summer.
