Nick Carter opens up on coping with Brother Aaron’s tragic death: ‘It’s been a lot for us’

Nick Carter and his family are still mourning the tragic loss of Aaron Carter.

In an interview with entertainment tonightThe Back Street Boys The member opened up about how his loved ones are doing as the first anniversary of his death approaches in just a few months. And, understandably, to this day they still “process” what happened to him. Nick told the outlet:

“It was definitely tough for me and my family. It’s something we still process to this day. I don’t think we’ll ever really get over it. It’s been a lot for us and we’re finding ways to cope with and make something out of a really tragic situation in our family.”

According to the 43-year-old actor, that “something” was him and his sister Angel Cooperation with the non-profit organization On our sleeves, which aims to help children who are struggling with their mental health. Wow. You can watch his entire interview AND (below):

As you know, the 34-year-old singer was found dead in the bathtub of his Lancaster, California home in November 2022. The Los Angeles County coroner later announced that his cause of death was an accident after drowning in a bathtub “due to the effects” of alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, and difluoroethane, a flammable gas commonly found in compressed air cans occurs. Heartbreaking…

At the time of his death, Nick was touring with the Backstreet Boys in Europe. Him and other band members Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian LittrellAnd Howie Dorough dedicated their show in O2 Arena in London to Aaron. Before performing the song No place and shows a video montage of it i want sweets Artist, Kevin told the audience:

“[The song ‘No Place’] is very special to us because this song is about family. Everyone here, we all grew up together. We’ve been through ups and downs, ups and downs.”

He continued:

“Tonight we have heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday and we just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize him. Nick’s little brother Aaron Carter passed away yesterday [34] Year old. He’s part of our family. Thank you for all the love, well wishes and all your support.”

Very very sad. Our thoughts continue to be with the Carter family as they mourn the loss of Aaron.
