Nicolas Cage’s dream scenario opens the Zurich Film Festival – The Hollywood Reporter
Kristoffer Borglis dream scenarioa surrealistic comedy starring Nicolas Cage opens this year’s Zurich Film Festival.
In the feature, the English-language debut of the Norwegian director, who swept Cannes last year with his debut feature Sick of Myself, Cage plays Paul Matthews, an unhappy family man whose life is turned upside down after millions of strangers suddenly see him in their dreams. Dylan Baker, Kate Berlant, Michael Cera, Dylan Gelula and Tim Meadows star.
dream scenario will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, where it will open TIFF’s “Platform” competition program. A24 will release the film domestically. This is the first time that Everything everywhere at once Studio will have an opening film in Zurich.

Another Toronto title, nyad, the true story of Diana Nyad, a 60-year-old long-distance swimmer obsessed with completing a 110-mile swim from Cuba to Florida, also had a gala premiere in Zurich. It stars Annette Bening as Nyad and Jodie Foster as her friend and trainer Bonnie Stoll. Directed by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi.
