Nominate a WLKY-Kroger Community Rewards Student-Athlete of the Week
Every week on WLKY we recognize outstanding student-athletes from local high schools! Here’s how you can nominate: Share this application link. Share student-athlete applications with your student’s athletic director. Schools may submit multiple applications for different athletes. Provide the following information: Academic achievement: What do you value at school? Are there any outstanding results or projects? Leadership, mentoring/coaching others?Sports achievements: team leadership, mentoring/coaching others, personal or team achievements.Community or extracurricular achievements that nurture the human spirit: community, goodwill, uplifting others, Leadership – mentoring/coaching others.Select student-athletes must come to WLKY for her interview/photo shoot. The athletic directors of the selected athletes will be contacted to arrange interview times. In addition to on-air recognition, Kroger honors athletes by providing a $250 prize to the student’s school Kroger gift card, where eligible. At the end of the school year, each student-athlete of the week may be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship. The prize is awarded to one of the weekly prize winners. We will continue to accept entries for the Kroger Community Rewards Student-Athlete of the Week throughout the school year. Congratulations to our previous weekly award winners:

Community or extracurricular achievements The Nourish the human spirit: Community, benevolence, encouraging others, leadership – mentoring/coaching others.
Selected student-athletes must come to WLKY for their interview/photo shoot.

In addition to the on-air honor, Kroger will honor the athletes by gifting the student’s school a $250 Kroger gift card, if eligible.
