When crime rages in New York City, everything becomes a weapon – even a frying pan.
The New York Police Department said Saturday that a man reported he was robbed by five people, at least two of whom were holding frying pans, according to the New York Daily News.
The incident happened on the Lower East Side of Manhattan around 2:10 a.m. on July 21, according to police.
The NYPD said the 34-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was arguing with a stranger when she was attacked.
The victim told police that five people approached him and two of them started hitting him with what appeared to be a frying pan.

“And then you see crime start to increase, and it really sets us back a decade in terms of shootings and murders, which is [a] Miller said Sunday. “It’s like when you cure an illness and then get vaccinated by the hospital.”
The state legislators “literally every proposal was on the shelf they couldn’t pass because the common people wouldn’t let that happen, they blew them up and passed it all at the same time.” for a while, he said, adding that legislators “sneaked them out in the middle of the night. And we have suffered from it ever since.”
“I don’t think anyone bothers reading them. I think it’s all more of ideology than common sense,” Miller said.
Reforms are one thing, he said, but major changes made without considering their impact are another.
“And I think the criminal-justice system is a complex ecosystem where you can make changes and adjustments and make meaningful reforms,” Miller said. “But you can’t do all of that at once and drop it like an atomic bomb into a complex system and not expect disturbance.

“The district attorneys don’t like that. The judges didn’t like it. The police officers didn’t like that. And citizens don’t like it. So that makes one universe – supporters – think it’s awesome.
“They are advocates for criminals, people who are entangled in the system. And where are the advocates for the others? “
As odd as it may seem, this isn’t the first time the frying pan has been used in a city robbery.
