O’Hara praises the ‘sensational footballer’ at Tottenham despite not being naturally gifted

Jamie O’Hara has praised Tottenham striker Harry Kane as a “sensational footballer”.

The former midfielder reacted after Kane scored his 49th goal for England in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Switzerland at Wembley Stadium.

The Tottenham killer overtook Gary Lineker in the English top-scorer charts and tied for second place with World Cup winner Sir Bobby Charlton.

It’s been a rise for Kane that shatters almost every single record that’s put before him.

O’Hara shared that Kane wasn’t someone who was naturally gifted as a youngster, but he worked hard on his game week in and week out to reach that level. as he told Sky Sports News.

“It’s another one that’s been dropped from that record,” O’Hara said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets it (by the end of the year).

“He deserves it. He’s an incredible goalscorer. He’s the talisman for England and a sensational footballer.

“What a player. You wouldn’t say he was naturally gifted when he first came on the scene. But he’s worked so hard at his game every day, week in and week out.

“And he’s gone to another level now.”

Kane is four goals behind Wayne Rooney’s record in England and that’s before his 29th.

Barring anything ridiculous, he should break that record this year.

Not only that, with UEFA Nations League matches being played ahead of the World Cup in Qatar in November, he could even do it before then.

It would be fitting if it happened at the World Cup itself, but either way, Rooney’s record is about to be broken and it will likely be broken from there.
