A bus crashed on a New York highway Thursday and plunged down an embankment, killing one person and injuring several others, police said. State police said the accident occurred on Interstate 84 in the town of Wawayanda, about 45 miles northwest of New York City. Video from news helicopters showed the bus lying several feet from the road among trees and bushes. Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus told WNBC-TV that there were about 45 people on the bus, mostly children. He said at least five people were seriously injured. The accident occurred around 1:20 p.m
