The New York Giants have just one player on CBS’s 2022 Under-25 All-Attack Team, even with one of the youngest squads in football.
List, created by CBS Sports analyst Jordan Dajani, Let’s look at the top two players in each attacking position, who are under 25.
Leftball Andrew Thomas is the only Giants player to make the list. Of the 22 qualifying attack points, the Giants have no other rep.
Thomas, who was awarded the second teammate title, was defeated by the left Los Angeles Chargers while handling Rashawn Slater. Slater is one of two Chargers players shortlisted, alongside midfielder Justin Herbert.
Thomas is set to enter his third year as the future left-hand solution for the Giants. Expectations will be very high for the 23-year-old.
Thomas is having the best season of his short career. He experienced a real breakthrough in his sophomore season. He ended the year with a PFF score of 78.9 and a passing score of 82.1. His pass block is the 12th best in the NFL among offensive tackles.
He also played a total of 800 snaps. With a line full of contradictions, he is a rare reliability for this Giants team.

Thomas is prepared to be even better in year 3
Since being drafted with a fourth overall pick in 2020, Thomas has partially addressed the injury. While he played all 16 games during his rookie season, he was still injured on the points.
In his sophomore year, he appeared in 13 of the Giants’ 17 games. An ankle injury kept him from reaching 100% for most of the season. But that’s all behind Thomas now.
Thomas continued Giants Huddle audio files and talked about his overall health and expectations for next season.
“It’s frustrating for sure, but it’s part of the job, learning to navigate when injured because you’ll never feel 100%. But I feel like last year I started to make some progress. It’s a bit frustrating sometimes when you can’t be on the pitch with your teammates.”
If Thomas can continue to stay healthy and active as he is, he could become the foundational piece of the unit he is supposed to be. The consistency and overall usability that Thomas brings is something that cannot be ignored. When the Giants put out a rebuilt offensive line in 2022, his contributions will be needed.
New attack line
The new Giants mode feels that the attack line needs fixing. The combination of head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen makes it a hit.
In 2022, the offensive line will look very different. Nearly the entire unit will be new as Andrew Thomas is the only player to start in both seasons. Offensive guard Shane Lemieux was set to start but was lost in the first week of the season.
Jon Feliciano, Mark Glowinski and Evan Neal are all new faces for this offense. A pair of University of North Carolina teammates Joshua Ezeudu and Marcus McKethan could also end up solid playtime for this unit as rotating pieces. Each new work will be expected to be better than the group that was present in the previous season. Much of the success of the offense will depend on how this unit can execute.
