Oprah Winfrey share your thoughts on Ozempic!

During a panel moderated by Oprah Daily, the 68-year-old media mogul spoke about shame, particularly obesity and how people choose to lose weight. Of course the topic of Ozempic came up. And Oprah admitted that, like many celebrities, even she has considered taking the drug to help her lose weight. However, the television personality decided against it. Why? Well, she says it would be too easy for her:

“Shouldn’t we all just be more accepting, whatever body we’re in? That should be your choice. When I first heard about the weight loss medication, I was having knee surgery at the same time and felt like, ‘I have to do this on my own.’ Because if I take the medication, it’s the easy way out.'”

Hmmm. Looking back, Oprah pointed out that her weight had long been the subject of public debate throughout her career:

“I don’t know if there is another public figure whose weight struggle has been exploited as much as mine has over the years. This is a world where people have always been shamed for being overweight. All of us who have experienced it just know that people treat you differently. That’s just what they do.”

She continued:

“One of the things I was… ashamed of and ashamed of [for] What has been in the tabloids every week for about 25 years means that you don’t have the necessary willpower.”

Pooh. Nobody should be ashamed of their body. Ultimately, Oprah ended the conversation by pointing out that what someone does with their body is her decision:

“Whatever you decide to do with your body and weight should be up to you and not something you should be ashamed of. I’m just sick of it, and I hope this conversation starts to stop shaming it.”

Say it louder for the people in the back, Oprah!

She didn’t hold back in this conversation! Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Do you agree with Oprah that the Ozempic is the “easy way out”? Let us know in the comments below.
