It’s Hollywood’s biggest night – and the internet is raging!
During the 95th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 12, Jamie Lee Curtis received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Everything everywhere at once.

Though not all agrees that the actress should have won the coveted award. Following the results, social media erupted, claiming that Oscar nominee Angela Bassett should have gone home with the gold statue for her role Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Let’s face it, being nominated is a great honor, but winning is even better. The Black Panther Star was apparently disappointed when her name was not given.

Another person tweeted, “I stole the Oscar to give to Angela Bassett.”
This Twitter user clearly had a strong sense of how the Academy voted for Best Supporting Actress.
“Anyone who voted for Jamie Lee Curtis over Angela Bassett and Stephanie Hsu needs to sleep with one eye open,” the user wrote alongside a video of a woman being restrained.

According to Angela’s results Black Panther Co-star Michael B. Jordan and actor Jonathan Majors took the stage to introduce themselves, but not before showing some love queen.
“Hey aunty, we love you,” they both said.
Well, Twitter certainly noticed Creed III call of the stars.
“You know that Angela Bassett was robbed. #Oscars,” one person tweeted. While another wrote: “You did that thing! Angela Bassett deserves the award and they know it.”
This Twitter user wasn’t happy with the results, commenting, “Angela Bassett not winning ruined this night for me… #Oscars95.”

“I’m on my way to steal the Oscar from Jamie Lee Curtis to give to Angela Bassett. #Oscars,” the viewer commented.
Feeling strongly about Angela’s performance, this Twitter user wrote, “You’re telling me about that hackneyed A- performance [Jamie] Lee Curtis was better than this artwork Angela Bassett provided?”
