The jockey and his fiancee tied the knot at Acacia Ridge Vineyard surrounded by family and friends.

Patrick, who finished second at this year’s Melbourne Cup, is Jim Moloney’s grandson.

Jess is the daughter of former jockeys Jason Patton and Therese Payne.

Therese’s sister Michelle is the first and only woman to win the Melbourne Cup horse race in its 160-year history.

She won the famous trophy at Prince of Penzance in November 2015.

Michelle’s life story was immortalized in the 2019 film Ride Like A Girl starring Teresa Palmer and directed by Rachel Griffiths.
