Pedestrian killed after being hit by multiple vehicles in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was struck and killed in Harrisburg on Tuesday, January 24.
Harrisburg Police say they responded to the 1600 block of State Street around 6 p.m. to report that a pedestrian had been hit. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman had been hit by multiple vehicles.
The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where she later died from her injuries.
Preliminary investigation shows the woman entered the east lane of the roadway where she was struck by several vehicles. The drivers of the vehicles have been questioned by officers and the investigation is ongoing.
