People discuss Latto’s reaction to child fashion influencers

Another day, another debate! People on Twitter debate whether Latto was inappropriate when she answered a question for nine-year-old fashion influencer Taylen Biggs. In a resurfaced clip from NYFW, Taylen reports on behalf of Harper’s Bazaar, asked the rapper how she describes her style.

“I think I’m authentic. I think I give modern, sexually liberated women. You’ll find out later,” she replied.

Though the two continued talking when Taylen asked Latto what she couldn’t leave home without and whether she prefers Barbies or Bratz dolls, people only focused on Latto’s response to her style. With the “Big Energy” rapper trending on Twitter, not everyone seems to have the same opinion about her fashion response being inappropriate.

One tweeted:

“Which is it? Do you all want children to understand that sexual liberation and expression is natural, or do you want to continue having these ultra-conservative narratives? Sexual liberation is not a pseudonym for a sexual act. Growing up.”

Another fan tweeted:

“There are definitely ‘toddler’ ways of saying the same thing. How modern, confident, loving and appreciative of the body I have, friendly/social, “feeling free to enjoy adulthood”. Who says the babies are “sexually liberated”?” Latto didn’t respond to the chatter, but the rapper made it clear in a series of tweets on Sept. 25 that she doesn’t care what anyone says about her.
