Philadelphia Water Main Break: Crews respond to Kensington Crossing

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia Department of Water crews have responded to a major water main burst in the city’s Kensington area.

It started around 7 a.m. Thursday on 4th Street and Hewson Street.

Water could be seen flowing through the intersection and down the streets.

Action News is told that a vehicle was lifted by the force of the rushing water.

The action cam at the crime scene showed that the road had buckled.

Some neighbors have reported flooding in their basements.

Crews worked to shut off the water.
