Statistics gathered by social media analytics site Social Blade and seen by the publication show that Phil has been gradually losing fans over the past 12 months but saw his biggest drop this week.

Over the past year, Phil has lost 117,769 fans on Twitter and Instagram while Holly has gained 787,783.

As of September 2021, Phillip has lost 89,260 Instagram followers, with 10,170 of those fans unfollowing him in the last 30 days alone and 2,941 in the last week.

In contrast, Holly has gained a total of 729,202 new Instagram followers over the past 12 months and gained 35,790 new fans on the platform over the past 30 days.

On Twitter, however, Phil has lost 28,508 followers in the last 12 months, with 5,655 of those fans unfollowing him in the last 30 days.

During the same period, Holly gained 58,581 new followers on the platform.

Phillip currently has a total of 3,032,459 followers on Instagram and 4,482,362 on Twitter.

An ITV spokesman added in a statement to MailOnline: “This morning had press accreditation and like other media, Phillip and Holly were escorted to work from the press gallery by government officials.

“You didn’t get past the Queen’s coffin. They were there along with a host of other broadcasters and national press offices for a segment that will air on Tuesday’s show. Any allegations of improper conduct are categorically false.’
