Philly police car involved in Southwest Philadelphia crash

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – Two police officers were taken to hospital following a collision Tuesday afternoon.

Chopper 6 passed the scene at 63rd Street and Glenmore Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia at approximately 3:30pm

Philadelphia police said two officers were on their way to assist another officer in a foot chase.

Along the way, they were hit by a gray Dodge Charger with two people inside, police said.

The officers were taken to hospital, where they are expected to be treated and released.

Police said the people inside the Dodge were alert and talking, but had no further details on their condition.
