Teen Mom 2 fans were concerned after seeing a new photo of Jade Cline’s 4-year-old daughter, Kloie. They claimed the tot looked “so miserable” while having dinner with her parents in Las Vegas.
Cline and her partner Sean Austin smiled widely for the photo. Cline leaned in to put her hand on Kloie’s shoulder but the toddler didn’t want to grin for the picture.
“Kloie. she looks so sad She needs a hug and some love,” reads one of Teen Mom Tea’s most popular comments Side.
“The baby looks miserable as hell ❤️”, another person added.
Some social media users suspected that Cline and Austin’s roller coaster relationship was taking its toll on Kloie.
“This is what a toxic relationship does to a child ☹️,” one fan called.
After Austin saw rumors that Kloie was unhappy, Austin hit back in the comments section on Teen Mom Tea’s page. “Lmao 😂 she was mad because I just took her phone so we could take the picture 😂,” he wrote.
Cline has slammed mom-shamers before
Cline is no stranger to social media users criticizing her parenting. The Native American faced backlash after Kloie developed a toothache and had to have it extracted. Some fans claimed Cline waited too long to take their daughter to the dentist.
“You guys must be really worried about your own lives and your children. Not mine LOL. My child is happy and healthy.” Cline wrote on Instagram in March 2022.
“Kloie’s first dental appointment was scheduled for three years. Then a child has grown with all its teeth.” she continued. “Her doctor and dentist said 3 years old is the perfect age to see her dentist regularly. Our dentist only accepts children from the age of 3 years.”
Cline clapped back at mom shamers again in April 2022 after fans slammed the hairstylist for calling Kloie a “grumper” when she refused to Facetime Austin while he was in rehab in Texas for substance abuse to treat.
“Really sad to see the horrible things some of you are saying,” Cline said wrote in the comments section of MTV’s Instagram post. “This is our real life, we don’t hide like some people.”
“At least we’re open and showing how hard real life can be. Addiction affects so many people around the world and we want to show that PEOPLE can change with the right steps and help,” Cline wrote.
Austin spoke about the importance of rehab
Since leaving rehab, Austin has written a post about the importance of recovering from substance abuse.
“Being away from my family for 4 months (120 days) was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.” he wrote at the beginning of his post. “But it also gave me back my life, it gave my daughter back her father, and it gave @jadecline_ her husband back.”
“Recovery is a journey that you CANNOT walk alone. Asking someone for help is not easy, but it is the right thing to do.” he continued. “So for anyone out there struggling with addiction, it’s okay to ask for help, it’s okay if you don’t know who to ask, just start asking for help while it lasts.” If you have the ability to be honest with yourself and admit to yourself that you have a problem, then you have the ability to recover.
