Police name a man charged with sexual assault at the park in St Helens

Police say they received a report around 1:35pm on Monday February 13 that a woman in her 50s was walking into Sutton Park when she was approached and sexually assaulted.

Ehssan Delawar, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with sexual assault, Section 47 assault and two public order violations.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Wirral Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Thursday 16 February.
