Police release a picture of a man stabbed in Liverpool

Officers were called to McDonald’s on Ranleigh Street at around 11.30pm on Saturday February 4 after receiving a report that a man in his 20s had received a stab wound to the arm.

The victim suffered the injury after trying to intervene to stop a fight between two unidentified men.

The two men fled the scene on foot after the incident.

An investigation has been launched and after an extensive CCTV investigation, police have released an image of a man who we believe may have information that could assist our investigation.

Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: “We are very interested in tracking down the man pictured as we believe he may have information vital to our investigation.

“During that time, many people would have been on the site. So if you witnessed this incident, please speak up and help us remove dangerous weapons and those who use them from our streets.

“Whether you are telling us directly or anonymously through Crimestoppers, please contact us and we will take action.”
