Police reveal Nicola Bulley has been classified as ‘high risk’ because she had ‘significant alcohol problems’.

Nicola Bulley suffered from “significant drinking problems brought on by ongoing battles with menopause,” Lancashire Police revealed.

The mother of two was reportedly struggling with both issues, and they had resurfaced in recent months.

Police said it was an “unusual step” to reveal such details about an individual’s private life, but we felt it was “important to clarify” what they meant by “vulnerabilities”.

Earlier today, experts revealed missing persons are “high risk” as “very likely” from “serious damage” as they claim “she didn’t fall into the river”.

Lancashire Police said this afternoon that Nicola was immediately classified as ‘high risk’ due to ‘specific vulnerabilities’.

The definition of a high-risk missing person is when “the risk of serious harm to the person concerned or the public is considered very likely,” according to the College of Policing.

The mother of two disappeared without a trace on January 27 while walking her dog Willow by the River Wyre in St Michael’s, Lancashire.
