Popeyes just signed an agreement to open its first locations here – Eat this, not that

Popeyes is hitting Europe with a hurricane. After a recent expansion to the UK, where it opened first restaurant in East London in November, the Miami-based beloved chicken chain is opening stores in another European country: France.
The French will enjoy Popeyes delicacies such as sandwich, chicken nuggets, and cookies next year. The company is partnering with one of France’s largest restaurant groups, Napaqaro, which will act as the main franchisor in the country. The development deal also includes neighboring Monaco and will add hundreds of restaurants in these territories in the coming years.

David Shear, president of Popeyes parent company RBI International, said: “We are delighted to announce this landmark agreement for Popeyes and can’t wait to introduce our iconic chicken dish to the world. Popeyes currently operates 3,600 restaurants in more than 25 countries, including other European markets in Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. Earlier this year, the chain announced that it would also expand in Romania, Saudi Arabia, India, and Mexico.
Popeyes’ French partner has run several chains in the country, including casual dining brands like Buffalo Grill and Courtepaille, as well as dark kitchens and digital operations like Bun Meat Bun.
