Just as fans of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” were beginning to excited about the possibility of a renewed franchise romance, Rachel Recchia took to social media to quell speculation and dampen everyone’s enthusiasm. Fans first met Recchia when she appeared on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, and her journey ended heartbroken. She later co-led The Bachelorette with Gabby Windey, but her engagement to Tino Franco was short-lived. This week, Recchia and Echard popped up in a social media post together, and fans couldn’t help but wonder if it was a sign of romance renewed. Could Recchia and Echard be ready to romantically reconnect?

Rachel Recchia dismissed anything serious about Clayton Echard

Recchia and Echard weren’t alone in the social media posts that surfaced showing them spending time together over the past week. A handful of Bachelor Nation stars gathered for an event, and various social media posts included the likes of Blake Horstmann, Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Michelle Young. However, it was seeing Echard and Recchia together that caught the attention of many fans. Ultimately, Recchia didn’t leave curious and eager fans hanging too long. On February 3, she accepted her Instagram Stories to set the record straight.

The photo Recchia shared was a selfie in which she wore headphones and sunglasses while pursing her lips and holding up a peace sign with one hand. “You guys told me it was just for fun [heart emoji] Healing and forgiveness is a lesson that has been difficult for me to learn for a long time,” she explained. The former “Bachelorette” star added that she’s “not quite exiting that era just yet,” and she added a dancing emoji.

Recchia wants to leave its “flop era” behind

Recchia announced in early January a photo on Instagram shows her showing off her figure by the pool at a beautiful resort in Mexico. Her caption read, “Leaving my flop era,” and the former “Bachelorette” was clearly working to live her best life. She currently resides in Los Angeles with Genevieve Parisi, the “Bachelor” star, as a roommate, and recently dating the two traveled to Fiji together. It seems that Recchia is embracing this era of her life and not ready to commit to Echard or anyone else right now.

Recchia’s Instagram story made its way onto the Reddit sub, The Bachelor, and fans had a lot to say about it. Some posters found it silly that there had even been speculation about Recchia and Echard, and some simply expressed hope that Recchia would truly heal and become happy.
