Las Vegas Raiders members are enjoying their wide pool of recipients right now. They have two stars in Hunter Renfrow and Davante Adams while Mack Hollins and Tyron Johnson have put together intense training camps to perfect the group. However, the depth of the group is a questionable matter if anything happens to Renfrow or Adams.

The Raiders weren’t too worried about it but decided to make some moves at a wide range with the training camp in full swing. The team has announced that they have signed veteran wide receiver Chris Lacy.

The 6-foot-3 former standout Oklahoma State player joined the NFL for the first time as an untrained free agent with the New England Patriots. Even though he only lasted a week on the team roster, he got to know new Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels. Lacy has rocked the NFL but made his biggest mark with the Detroit Lions. He played eight games with the team over the course of two seasons. During that time, he caught three passes for 60 yards. He had an uphill battle to get the Raiders to bring the squad into training camp this late but the team could be intrigued by his size. He’s also a very smart player as he was honored as a three-time All-Academic First Class 12 winner while in college. It takes smart players to beat McDaniels so his IQ can definitely help him.

Jordan Veasy Cut

To make room for Lacy, the Raiders had to cut Jordan Veasy. The veteran wide receiver joined the team earlier in the season but they must have wanted to go in a different direction. Veasy has only played two games in his career despite having joined the NFL since 2018.

6-foot-3 tall, he has a similar build to Lacy. The Raiders must have simply wanted to try another high-wide receiver. Veasy has at least been able to get into a practice team throughout his career, so he’ll be watched by other teams before the season even starts.

Davante Adams praises Hunter Renfrow

As mentioned earlier, Raid gamers must be very excited with their wide receiver. They have the best wide receiver overall in the NFL in Adams and possibly the best position receiver in Renfrow. The two will form an interesting duo with the tight ending Darren Waller also a major player in the game. While Adams has recently been amused by Renfrow’s expense due to Uber’s failure, he has great respect for the young broad-based adopter.

“I’m learning a lot from this young man right here,” Adams said of Renfrow on NFL Network’s “Inside Training Camp Live.”

“I love Hunter, man. He’s really, seriously, a great guy. Very open and receptive to being such a smart receiver and complete receiver. So it’s very fun. I am looking forward to a great year.”

During his brief stint in the NFL, Renfrow has proven himself to be a truly intelligent football player and Adams is wise to learn what he can from him despite his status in the league.
