When will Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 2 be released?

Rainbow Six Siege Y7S2 was originally scheduled to be released on June 7th, 2022. This has changed due to some internal delays, meaning the release has been brought forward. Ubisoft hasn’t given a specific release date yet, but fans are expecting it to be in the coming weeks as patch notes for Y7S2 have already been released.

What time of day does Year 7 Season 2 release?

Since the day Y7S2 was released yet to be disclosed, it is impossible to tell what time of day it will be dropped. We can look at when Y7S1 was released on March 15, 2022 to try and gain some insight. When Y7S1 was released, it was released at 7:00am PT / 10:00am ET / 3:00pm BST. What’s in the Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 2 patch notes?

Thanks to Ubisoft, some changes will be implemented in Y7S2 by Rainbox Six Siege. While not all updates are operator focused, some of them are. Those that aren’t focus on gameplay features like barrel volume.

Adjust screen shake

Players who have had to deal with less than optimal screen shake intensity now have more options to customize this feature. In Y7S2, players will now be able to reduce screen shake or even turn it off. This could be particularly useful for those who are sensitive to screen shakes, hopefully making the game more accessible.

Finka & LMG remain in peace for the time being

Fans who feared the possible nerfing of Finka and LMG can at least breathe easy for another season. Ubisoft has confirmed that will be the case Shift the train to nerf the characters through Y7S3. In the meantime, they’ll be looking closely at how best to approach the balance between the two.

Loud crouching gait

This development is certainly disappointing for players who enjoy stealth, but unfortunately it looks like the change is here to stay. Players who crouch while walking will find in Y7S2 that their Crouching gait sounds much louder than before. Changing the volume makes sneaking more difficult, meaning sneaking around might require more careful planning.

Glaz is faster but has less armor

Glaz is an operator that’s getting special attention in Y7S2. Ubisoft has stated that they will take it Glaz from three to two speeds. While the speed boost is certainly welcome, it will come at the cost of his armor, making him more vulnerable to attacks.

Operators get third secondary weapon

Nine Operators in Rainbow Six Siege will be given the option to have a third secondary weapon once Y7S2 is released. This nine operators and their weapon complements are:

operator weapon
amaru ITA12S
collision P – 10C
tachanka camp – 9
Kali P22 – Mk5
Lion P9
finca GSH-18
