Here’s what you need to know:
1. Randall Emmett is accused of attacking Lala Kent and throwing her to the ground over a cell phone argument
Last fall, Emmett and Kent split after leaked photos of Emmett hanging out with women in Nashville. According to Kent, who spoke to the LA Times, when she confronted him about the photos, she asked him to see his phone.
“When he refused, she said she took it from him,” the exposé reads.
From there, according to Kent, a physical fight ensued.
“He ran after me, grabbed me and threw me to the ground,” Kent told the LA Times. “I used every ounce of strength to get him off me as he tried to snatch it out of my hands. … I knew then for sure that he had a lot to hide.”
Isabelle Morales, the couple’s nanny, says she saw the two fight but “no one was down”.
2. Emmett is accused of offering female roles in exchange for sex: “I’m not a Creep”
The article gives several examples of women accusing Emmett of improper behavior. An example comes from an unidentified woman saying that Emmett approached her on the street.
“I’m not a nutcase, I promise. I’m a film producer, you can google me — please google me,” she recalled his words.
Another woman, 23, also claims unidentified that Emmett texted her about a role she wanted, writing: “Yes. One day’s work and you have to fuck me honey.”
The woman says she worked on three projects for Emmett and “gave Emmett massages and oral sex, allowed him to penetrate her digitally, and stood naked in his office while he masturbated,” reads the article.
3. Emmett paid $200,000 to a woman who accused him of improper contact
The aforementioned unidentified woman suffered from “a deep sense of self-loathing and self-loathing,” according to the LA Times. She sought therapy and hired famed attorney Gloria Allred to secure a $200,000 settlement from Emmett.
“A person familiar with the situation said Emmett printed, signed and scanned this agreement, although he denied it,” the outlet reported.
4. Emmett is accused of continuing to work with Bruce Willis after showing signs of being diagnosed with aphasia
The LA Times article describes an incident on the set of “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” starring Bruce Willis and directed by Emmett. They tell the story of Willis not understanding his instructions to “push open a door”.
“Willis didn’t seem to understand, according to seven crew members present at the late-night shoots,” the outlet reported. “Emmett rose from behind the video monitor and mimicked the actions, urging Willis to do the same. When efforts failed, the director left the set in frustration, said three of the crew members.”
At the time, Kent told the outlet she remembered Emmett telling her, “Bruce can’t remember any of his lines. He doesn’t know where he is.”
But after that incident, “Emmett went on to do five more films with Willis,” the outlet reported.
According to the Times, Emmett denied witnessing “any deterioration in Mr. Willis’s health.”
5. Emmett offered Kent ‘$14,000 in exchange for keeping their relationship a secret’
According to Lisa Burningham, Kent’s mother, Emmett offered Kent $14,000 to keep their relationship quiet.
The outlet reported an exchange in which Emmett, before appearing on the show “Vanderpump Rules,” asked Kent to meet with his attorney, Keith Davidson.
“Inside, Kent said Davidson placed a stack of papers in front of the women: an agreement stating that Kent would be paid $14,000 for keeping her relationship with Emmett a secret,” the outlet reported.
Burningham says she and Kent left the office.
