The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter has her own skincare line, CaraGala, but many fans were confused by one of the Bravo star’s endorsements for the line.

That Home page of the site begins with the company’s statement: “Exude confidence. Be comfortable in your skin.” According to the CaraGala website, the name stands for “Co-Founder, Gina Kirschenheiter’s own journey to regaining skin’s confidence after moving from New York, ‘The Big Apple’ (Gala Apples), moved to Orange County, California (Cara Cara Oranges) and the USA which had high contrast environments and everyday stresses on her skin.”

A photo from the website showing Kirschenheiter smiling broadly against a brick background, along with the company’s statement, was shared on Reddit, where fans criticized the star. Many of them pointed out that the company advertises skincare and feeling good “in your own skin,” but the ad showed Kirschenheiter wearing a full face of makeup.

Kirschenheiter was criticized for wearing a lot of foundation in the photo promoting her skincare line

Fans took advantage of the Reddit comments to react to the brand CaraGala and Kirschenheiter wearing makeup in the ad. “There’s budget,” someone wrote. “Budget low if you ask me,” added another. One person commented, “She looks uncomfortable in her own skin.” Another wrote, “That’s a horrible photo too. Her face looks weird.”

One person commented on the Bravo star’s makeup: “Ugh! The worst thing is the base color she wore. It’s too banana/orange for her and her cheeks look blotchy. I know she’s just putting her name on a product but how will that sell?” One person commented, “Look at that half orange ear. It’s not a smooth transition.” One wrote, “I feel like my face is going to break out just looking at this.”

One Redditor wrote: “I can’t get over the fact that Gina wears full pie face makeup for her skincare like ads. Do we exude confidence? How does your skin look Gina? Quickly flipped through the ingredients and oops…a lot of exfoliation can’t be good for the skin.” One commenter shared, “It should read, be comfortable in your own skin while wearing a full face of makeup.”

Someone wrote: “You can see in the picture her foundation is half an inch thick! She baked, she bronzed, she powdered to full matte — I don’t understand how she thinks this is a compelling sales approach to skincare!” Another commented, “She’s always been known for being totally into RHOC from day one to be confused. This is literally their brand! Be a sloppy mess. Hair tangled and matted clip visible in extensions. Makeup looking like a 9 year old in 2013 starting a YouTube tutorial channel. Oops.”

A few people reacted to Kirschenheiter’s company name, with one person writing, “‘Caragala’ just sounds so…unattractive…just like Gina’s personality.” Another said, “It honestly sounds like an illness.” Another said it was a “terrible brand name”.

Kirschenheiter was recently accused by her boyfriend’s ex-wife of pushing him down the stairs

Kirschenheiter probably has more on her mind than criticism of her skincare line page six recently reported that the Bravo star was accused of pushing her boyfriend Travis Mullen down the stairs during an argument at their home.

The publication obtained court documents showing Mullen’s ex-wife, Meghan Mullen, claimed the incident happened in April in front of the former couple’s 10-year-old daughter, Presley. According to the documents, Meghan Mullen said: “Late at night the children started hearing loudly [noises]. Presley left the room to check. Travis screamed that Gina was an alcoholic… Presley saw Gina push and pound Travis down the stairs [his] Throw your head against the wall and your hair [sic] and pictures off the wall.”

Meghan Mullen, who shares three children with Travis Mullen, said she was also “concerned about Gina’s behavior and drinking,” Page Six reported. “The kids tell me that sometimes when they wake up in the morning, she sleeps with an empty bottle of wine and a glass by her side.” The publication wrote that Kirschenheiter denied the allegations through a source close to her. “These claims are unfounded,” the source told Page Six. “It’s a false narrative [Meghan] trying to paint about Gina who is a domestic abuse survivor.”
