A Real Housewives star says Andy Cohen “dismissed” her.

Andy Cohen is executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise shows, and he has a say in who stays and who goes when it comes to casting. After season 12 of The Real Housewives of New York, the show parted ways with a popular housewife, and the move caused mixed feelings among fans.

That person is Dorinda Medley.

mixture Said today that she was fired from RHONY, but Cohen didn’t fire her entirely. “The good news is that he didn’t use the word ‘fired.’ He used ‘pause’ because it seems so much friendlier,” she explained.

After five seasons, Cohen decided it was time to shake things up and Medley was the one to go. At the time, she seemed cool with the decision, often saying that it was her time and that she needed a break. However, behind the scenes, Medley didn’t want her time on the show to end.

“Of course nobody likes to be paused. Nobody likes to be rejected. It’s not a good feeling. I made a great face with everyone, wrote this beautiful statement on my Instagram. Then I went home to my mom and cried my eyes out,” Medley told Today.

Here’s what you need to know:

Medley got a call from Cohen about Season 2 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

Although Medley felt dejected after being put on “hiatus,” she focused on a few other things, ending up with her very own brand of bourbon, a deal with Nutrisystem, and, more recently, her very own radio talk show. according to People magazine.

While things were going well for Medley, she didn’t hesitate to take a call from Cohen when he wanted to cast her for Season 2 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Not only did she agree, but Medley agreed to host the cast at her home in the Berkshires, where the entire season was filmed.

“They all come from different places. We were all quarantined and then they housed them at Blue Stone Manor for eight days and put a lid on them in a pressure pot,” Medley told Today of the new season, which is set to premiere sometime in 2022.

It sounds like all uncomfortable feelings after their “break” are long gone.

Medley may be back on RHONY

It seems like Medley may have given some hints of a possible return to The Real Housewives of New York, but it may not be the traditional RHONY as fans know it.

By variety, the show is getting a reboot and will air in two separate formats. There will be a traditional Real Housewives cast, which will be brand new, and then a legacy version, which will feature some of the most beloved (or loathed) housewives in franchise history. If Medley were to return to the show in any form, it would no doubt be part of the Legacy series.

It seems like Medley is ready to return to RHONY after their one-season hiatus. She’s known for captioning Instagram posts with things like, “We’re back in NYC” — and if that’s not a sufficient indication that she’s in talks to return to the franchise, she’s said never say never if she is asked if she would reclaim her apple.

“You never know,” she said meanwhile an interview with Chicks in the Office in August 2021.
