Reality Steve has gotten some inside information about the new season of The Bachelorette, which has already started filming.
Both Gabby Windey and Rachel Rechhia have met their suitors and have been on a few dates. The two women have met the same group of men in their 30s and will continue to get to know them over the next few weeks.
Reality Steve doesn’t know how every detail of the show will play out, but he has a good idea of the itinerary – and he’s also debunked some internet gossip.
On March 31, 2022, Steve confirmed that the information he received that Katie Thurston’s Connor Brennan would be in the season was incorrect. Connor will not meet Gabby and Rachel and have no role in the new season.
“Connor is clearly not in this season. This information that I received was wrong. What’s funny is that even now that I know he’s not in season, I’m still a bit surprised. The information I received really made me believe that he would be there. Obviously I can’t find out what it was or who told me, but all I know is that it wasn’t done maliciously. Or wasn’t made for clicks. I have reported what I believed to be true based on the information given to me. It happened to be wrong,” Steve wrote on his blog.
He then dived into a few more key details about the upcoming season.
Here’s what you need to know:
Part of the Rachel & Gabby season takes place on a cruise ship
Perhaps even before Rachel and Gabby were named ABC’s newest “Bachelorettes,” rumors were doing the rounds online that the new season would be taking place on a cruise ship.
Someone on Reddit shared that passengers scheduled to board a Virgin Voyage cruise in the coming weeks have been notified that their cruise has been canceled because the ship was set to be used for filming.
“Virgin Voyages is canceling a month’s cruises with just 12 days’ notice in order to charter the ship to film The Bachelorette.” wrote one Redditorwill start a new thread on March 10, 2022.
Reality Steve has confirmed that this will indeed happen.
“After leaving LA they will fly to UK Portsmouth and board the Virgin Voyage cruise and this will be their transport and accommodation during their stay in Europe. When they leave Portsmouth, UK, they call at Le Havre, France,” he revealed.
Gossip about hometown dates is wrong
Rumor has it that Gabby and Rachel would be sharing their hometown dates to meet the families of two suitors each.
While this may have made sense to many fans, Reality Steve claims this isn’t actually happening.
“With Gabby and Rachel, no matter how many hometowns they get, it’s still going to be shot the same way, but each of them will be shooting hometowns on the same day, obviously in different cities with a shared crew, unless they have one Man they both want in their last 3/4,” he wrote.
“So let’s say April 24th is a shooting day in Hometown (just do the math, it should be around that time), Gabby will be filming hers somewhere and Rachel will be filming hers somewhere else that same day. There will be either 3 or 4 hometowns for everyone. I’ll know more as we get closer. But this gossip that they only got two is definitely false. I’m not sure where this information came from,” Steve added.
