Rebel Wilson’s joke about Will and Jada Pinkett Smith has resurfaced following Smith’s altercation with comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

This year’s Oscars have gone down in history as a night of controversy and endless reactions to a particular moment.

During the Best Documentary awards ceremony, Chris Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith’s buzz cut before Will Smith stormed onto the stage hit rock.

Smith has since apologized, but a recent joke by Australian actress Rebel Wilson about his relationship with Jada has resurfaced thanks to social media users.

A video of actress Rebel Wilson speaking about Will and Jada’s relationship from the 2022 BAFTAs has gone viral again online.

Wilson hosted the March 13 awards ceremony in London and cracked a joke at the expense of Will, who received a BAFTA award for his leading role King Richard.

The 41-year-old Australian actress joked: “Will Smith wins for King Richard but I personally thought his best achievement over the past year was getting on with all of his wife’s friends!”

“What? Come on, he didn’t show up,” Wilson continued while the audience laughed nervously.

On the same day that the BAFTAs were held, Smith attended the Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

Did Will Smith answer?

Smith addressed his relationship with Jada the same day the BAFTAs aired, saying that there “never was any infidelity” in their marriage.

In conversation with Gayle King CBS Sunday morning, he said: “There has never been infidelity in our marriage. Jada and I talk about everything and we’ve never surprised each other with anything.”

The actor continued, “I’ve decided that chattering about my life can be beneficial for people. Chatting is the first step to having a real conversation and really exploring if some of the things in your heart are loving or toxic.”

Will and Jada’s relationship

Will and Jada met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air They married in 1994 and 1997. The couple welcomed son Jayden in 1998 and daughter Willow in 2000.

Jada first spoke about “interconnection” during her talk show Red Table Talk in 2020. she authorized that she was in a relationship with August Alsina after the rapper performed The Breakfast Club and claimed they were dating.

“Four and a half years ago…I started a friendship with August. We’ve become really, really good friends,” Jada said during the episode. “From there, over time, I got into a different kind of involvement with August.”

“It was a relationship, absolutely,” she explained.

Will spoke about her open marriage in a GQ Interviewed in September 2021, telling the outlet, “There’s been significant endless discussion about what relational perfection is? What’s the perfect way to interact as a couple? And for most of our relationship, we’ve chosen monogamy without thinking of monogamy as the only relationship perfection.

“We gave each other trust and freedom, believing that everyone must find their own way. And marriage must not be a prison for us,” Smith added.
