Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod aims to add a new single player experience with a custom character

A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 adds a new single-player experience to the game, with new missions, heists, and your own customized character.

The Life of Crime mod allows you to embark on a whole new Wild West adventure, starting with the creation of a new custom character that follows in Arthur Morgan’s footsteps.

“The whole point of the mod is to play as an entirely NEW character with all your weapons and money removed,” said creator CruelMasterMC. “NOT playing as Arthur or John. That’s the whole point of the mod.”

Once installed, start the life of crime by speaking to a white hat NPC in Copperhead Landing, and what unfolds is a daring escape from Siska Prison. This custom intro sequence gives you a little background while your character takes part in prison break. And before long you’re hooking up with a contact to start a life of crime.

“As you continue playing the game, you can earn all weapons by purchasing them from a gunsmith or by finding them anywhere on the map,” they added. “Make more money on missions and such to pay for these things and many more things I want to add.”

Some of the many planned additions teased by the mod creator are additional raids and bounty hunts. But even now, the mod is pretty extensive, including a new skill tree and two new missions – a mansion heist and a train heist.

Although the mod has been around for a while, it previously only featured the Manor Heist played through as Arthur Morgan. However, now it looks like Life of Crime aims to create an entirely new single-player experience.

Rockstar recently announced that it will not be making any additional themed updates for Red Dead Online as it prioritizes GTA 6… so this new single player mod couldn’t have come at a better time.

In addition, Rockstar has also reportedly shelved planned remakes of GTA IV and the original Red Dead Redemption.

Let’s hope this ambitious new mod will bring Red Dead 2 players all the new content they need.
