Reddit user recreates working Minecraft clocks and jukebox with 3D prints
The ingredients for the real Minecraft crafting recipes.
Although the Minecraft store has many exclusive merchandise and apparel collections, Reddit user Perplexr has taken it up a notch with its working 3D printed builds. The latest creation is a fully functional overworld clock showing the day and night cycles from the series.
Those unfamiliar with the mechanics of the clock should note that it rotates gradually throughout the day to indicate either the sun or the moon. Perplexr’s build works in a similar way as it rotates using the standard 24-hour system.
The process for this 3D printed design first started with an older texture pack, until it fully blossomed into a new creation with the latest version.
Not only did the craftsman craft a working clock, but they also created a working jukebox to play the franchise’s melodious music. You may recognize familiar compositions such as Music Disc 13, Music Disc Pigstep, and Music Disc Otherside. The 3D printed item also appears to include all 15 soundtracks found in the overworld, from the treacherous Woodland Mansion to the awe-inspiring Ancient City.
Perplexr has expressed its admiration for real Minecraft items in various posts and promises to develop more 3D art over time. With that in mind, fans can likely expect other builds from the Trails and Tales update, including Archeology, the Cherry Blossom biome, Armor Trims, and the Sniffer. Aside from these prints, players can look forward to future designs such as an Ore desk lamp, a TNT/Creeper candle, and an Axolotl desk toy.
Some Reddit users have already asked Perplexr to make more creations, e.g. B. A working compass for real-life exploration. But for now, crafters can expect the next amazing 3D printing, especially with the upcoming release of the following update and Minecraft Legends.
