Retired K9 officer from Lancaster County dies

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – The K9 Unit of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of one of its retired officers.

According to a Facebook post, retired K9 Edik died after a rapid decline in his health, leading to the difficult discussion of ending his condition.

The Office says it would like to thank Donegal Animal Hospital and Lancaster PETS for their care and for making K9 Edik’s final moments comfortable.

K9 Edik had an amazing career and will always be remembered, the bureau said.
