ReWired Fest 2023 Preview of Smash Bros and Street Fighter 6
ReWired Fest 2023 will be one of the biggest fighting game events of the weekend. This North American tournament will feature impressive events for some of the biggest fighting games of 2023, including one that is currently only just reaching “classic” status. It will be an event featuring SF 6 and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. For a dynamic mix of the most addictive platform fighter and the culmination of a long line of 2D fighters.

However, this event is more than just a Smash tournament. It is hosted by VGBootCamp and is the organizer’s first tournament since the cancellation of the Smash World Tour. What can we expect from their first major return to the world of fighting game esports?
ReWired Fest 2023
ReWired Fest 2023 will be a tournament taking place October 6th-7th. In it we will see two major events in offline LANs taking place in Fayetteville. The main event will likely be the Smash Bros. tournament, but the Street Fighter 6 event will be a fun opportunity to see some players compete in a completely different style of fighting as well.
Smash Bros. is an Ultimate tournament played on the latest version of the game. There’s a $10,000 prize pool at stake and nearly 300 players have signed up to take part. Among these players are some of the most active names. Sparg0 comes into the event with fresh back-to-back Coinbox victories. Players like Glutonny, Light, MuteAce and more also appear. With such a stacked roster, this should be a fun ultimate tournament. The big question heading into ReWired Fest 2023 is whether anyone can actually beat Sparg0 at the tournament.
In addition to Smash Ultimate, there will also be a ReWired Fest 2023 Street Fighter 6 tournament! It is also played with pools, followed by a double-elimination bracket. The event also corresponds to the prize pool. This seasonal event features more than 100 players, including big names like JustaKid and Justin Wong.
In both tournaments we see some of the best SF 6 players and smashers heading to the event. ReWired will definitely be a highlight for fighting game fans this weekend.
