The husbands of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” got together in a surprising venture.

The long-running Bravo reality show is famous for table-flipping feuds starring the likes of Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, and Jackie Goldschneider, but the househusbands also feature heavily on the show and sometimes get their own storylines as well .

But in their final step, the New Jersey men went off on their own to launch a calendar for Bravo superfans — and they did a great job.

Here’s what you need to know:

The RHONJ husbands posed for a series of pictures for a calendar

Fans got their first look at a calendar the RHONJ husbands posed for on Instagram. In posts shared across multiple Bravo fan accounts, the shirtless househusbands posed together and in individual photos.

Alongside a group shot of the main RHONJ men wearing Santa hats, Melissa Gorga’s shirtless husband Joe posed in front of a BBQ while Evan Goldschneider posed shirtless with a basketball. Bill Aydin struck a pose while sporting his white doctor’s coat and stethoscope, while Dolores’ ex, Frank Catania, posed for a cheeky photo wearing bunny ears. Jospeh’s husband, Joe Benigno, posed on a motorcycle and RHONJ newcomer Luis Ruelas struck a flamingo pose for his solo photo.

According to Instinct magazineThere are also some new faces on the calendar including John Fuda and Nate Cabral, who are the husbands of RHONJ newcomers Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral, and Paulie Connell, Dolores Catania’s new boyfriend.

On social media, fans had a huge reaction to the preview of the calendar.

“I’m dying. Lol. That’s great. Frank as the frigging Easter Bunny,” one fan wrote.

“Bill up his stethoscope!!!! I passed away,” another wrote.

“Love it! They need a spinoff or an ultimate journey or something,” another fan interfered.

But others weren’t so impressed.

“It’s so gross, even for this bunch. That says a lot. Thirst knows no bounds,” said one commentator wrote.

While it’s still unclear if or when the calendars will be released to the public, one fan noted that the calendars were sold at a recent charity softball game. On June 29, 2022, hospital staff played the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members at Maimonides Health’s Battle for Brooklyn charity softball game while Bravo’s cameras rolled. according to the Brooklyn Paper.

Lest fans think that the RHONJ husbands are just riding their wives, it should be noted that at least some of them are paid performers on the show.

Appearing on The Wendy Williams Show, Melissa Gorga confirmed that her husband Joe doesn’t always want to film, but sometimes has to. At the RHONJ season 12 reunion, host Andy Cohen even reminded Joe Gorga that he gets paid to be there.

“He’s not there because he wants to be all the time,” Melissa said via a shared clip by The_Bravo_Chicks fan account. “I think people get so misunderstood that he’s only there because he wants to hang out with the girls. As if Joe were a real cast member on the show.”

In the collection book “The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives”, Author Brian Moylan revealed that the New Jersey Househusbands are the only franchise men to be paid under a clause in the RHONJ wives’ contracts.

“RHONJ has a special spin-off in their contracts.” Moylan noted, per vulture. “They’re the only cast whose husbands are also paid to appear on the show, which is why they still film together when the ladies are away.”
