RHONJ’s Jennifer Aydin Reveals Why She Quit Drinking In Season 12

The mother-of-five revealed that after witnessing her drunken behavior last year on reality show Bravo, she vowed not to drink during season 12.

In an interview with people, Aydin confirmed that she quit drinking while filming season 12 of RHONJ. She told the outlet she was never a “big drinker”.

“It’s just that when I drink, I don’t know my limits,” Aydin explains. “And sometimes, it catches up with me before I realize it. It’s just because I don’t drink too much to know where my limit is. I don’t know how many licks it took to get to this girl’s center, we had to find out. ”

The 44-year-old reality TV star recounted her experience getting drunk at Teresa Giudice’s pool party last season, and how her husband Bill took her to their Ferrari.

“When I was drunk at Teresa’s party, I had never been so drunk in my life,” Aydin recalls. “I mean, I think I had alcohol poisoning. I was shaking until two in the morning, in the fetal position, begging Bill to stop. ”

While she says she likes “Happy drunken Jennifer”, former Aydin tell us weekly that her hangover was caused by the fact that she was dealing with family issues and the effects of the COVID-19 quarantine when she filmed a pool party with the RHONJ cast last season.

“It’s not even that I drank more,” she said. “You have to understand, I am a social drinker. I haven’t socialized in months, so [my] tolerance didn’t exist before – like, it’s below zero. I don’t know how many drinks it takes to get to the middle of a lollipop, okay? I’m not, so sorry if I’m being a bit overzealous and getting mad because I don’t know what my limits are.”

“I am not an alcoholic,” Aydin added. “I just want to have a good time.”

Aydin also told OK magazine that she only drinks during social events and that during the pandemic “no.” So when she did When she finally got out, she didn’t realize how quickly alcohol would affect her. But Aydin is adamant that she has no problem.

“When we started socializing and drinking, it was like someone who hadn’t drank in a long time and now suddenly they’re back,” she explains. ‘I don’t know my limits or how fast alcohol affects me. Sometimes it creeps into me. Maybe I jumped in the head, but I think it’s interesting that people think I might have a drinking problem – I don’t. “
