A Real Housewives star has relapsed on her journey to sobriety.

Former full-time “Real Housewives” star Katie Rost revealed that she has relapsed after rehab. Rost, who appeared as a full-time star in the first season of the Potomac franchise and has since appeared in a variety of roles, previously announced that she was entering a rehab facility to help her with an encore on Alcohol and Adderall.

She has since completed the program and appeared to be on the right track before suffering a setback.

“I’ve relapsed, I had decided to give up drugs, White Claw and Adderall and sex, tonight I failed at one of them. I did what I was supposed to do and immediately went to a meeting. But yeah, start over: day 1 #recovery”, Rost tweeted on February 8, 2023.

Here’s what you need to know:

Katie Rost received a lot of support from social media users

Following Rost’s announcement, several people showed her grace and support as she went through the various challenges she faced.

“One day girl doesn’t define your journey!!! Tomorrow is a new day, a new chapter and a new beginning! We cheer you on” one person wrote.

“What’s important is that you were honest with yourself and didn’t try to rationalize it as insignificant. Best wishes for Day 1 and the rest of you!” someone else added.

Rust replied to the above comment, saying that she hadn’t done anything “epically bad,” but that she’s still having a hard time with the fact that she’s relapsed.

“Relapse is part of recovery, baby. Don’t get caught up in yourself as best you can learn from it, figure out what triggered you and work on it. I believe in you. Recovery is hard, but being honest with yourself and with all of us, and speaking your truth is the most important thing as you recover. Read a third tweet.

Rust admitted that her setback was not “the end of the world” but continued to express her disappointment in herself.

Katie Rost started an inpatient rehab program in late 2022

in November 2022, Rost shared an update on her sobriety journey, having entered a 30-day inpatient facility.

“Full disclaimer: I’ve never been a huge fan of hospitals. They scare me,” she captioned an Instagram post. She went on to say that the hospital she was in was “so clean” and the staff were “attentive and friendly.”

“It REALLY matters where you go for treatment! Thanks [sic] to the people who fought to bring me here. Only 27 days left,” she added.

A few days later, rust shared the results a FibroScan she had performed on her liver. “The technician said it was healthy and ‘perfect,'” Rost wrote.

In January 2023, after returning home, has rust another update provided for her fans, saying she’s gained “exactly 20 pounds.” Days later, she shared a picture of her arm covered in words she applied with some sort of marker.

“I’ve always wondered why people tattoo themselves. To this day…sometimes you need a reminder written on your skin….and can’t find a piece of paper…. ‘Half measures didn’t help me’”, she captioned the snap.
