Risk of Stroke: The common health factor that makes blood flow difficult

You may need medication to lower your cholesterol if your cholesterol has not come down after making diet and lifestyle changes.
If you are aged between 40 and 74 you can have your cholesterol levels checked as part of an NHS health check.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) recommends all adults of all ages have a cholesterol check, even if they feel perfectly well. It should be repeated every five years – or more often if the test was abnormal.
The cholesterol blood test measures your total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and your total cholesterol to HDL ratio.
