“This is the embodiment of countless years of dedication to the art form of imagery, as well as my deep passion to continue my father’s important legacy while carving my own path,” he added.

Robert said all profits from the book go to conservation.

The wildlife warrior later spoke about the book on The Today Show, describing it as a celebration of Australia.

“This is a photo book that celebrates our country,” Robert told hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sylvia Jeffreys.

“The amazing, raw, natural beauty that we have here. And the story that photography plays in conservation.”

Photography is a passion for Robert and the teenager said he wants to capture spectacular images that tell stories about nature.

“Photography for me was more than just a moment in time, and it was more about telling a story,” he said.

“Here are photos where I put my body on the line. Showing the beauty of these animals and painting them in a positive light.’

Robert hopes the images will raise awareness of Australia’s environmental issues, including the devastating 2019-2020 bushfire season.

“The wildlife affected by these fires is stark. It’s a difficult pill to swallow. But it’s an important message to get out of there,” he said.

Robert concluded by reflecting on Steve Irwin Day, which is November 15, and said it was a perfect time to pay tribute to his late father.

“I’m just about carrying on my father’s legacy. Steve Irwin Day is a massive day about what he’s about,” he said.

“He gave everything. He was always there for us kids. He was the ultimate wild animal warrior and is our greatest inspiration.”
