Rumors of an anime adaptation of Kaiju No. 8 are sweeping the internet

Rumors are circulating on social media that an anime adaptation of Kaiju No. 8 manga series to go into production.

While pure anime fans will understandably enjoy their favorite shows on the small or big screen, manga fans around the world are still patiently waiting for their favorite series to be adapted for television.

One of the greatest (figuratively and literally) serial manga in the world is Kaiju No. 8, a monstrous series that tells the story of Kafkka Hibino, a young man who gains the ability to transform into a city-destroying creature.

New rumors of an anime adaptation of Kaiju #8 have been sweeping the internet this week, but what do we know about the potential TV production so far?

New rumors are circulating on the internet about an anime adaptation of the manga series Kaiju No. 8 by Naoya Matsumoto.

The excitement of a potential TV production of the Kaiju #8 manga began with the JP anime Twitter Page shared Breaking News on March 23approx.

The Twitter post stated that “Kaiju No. 8″ (Kaijuu 8-gou), a sci-fi horror manga created by Matsumoto, is getting an anime adaptation and is being produced by TOHO Animation.”

This information has yet to be officially confirmed by third parties associated with the series, with JP Anime stating that it is an “official announcement”. [coming] soon.”

The post also states that TOHO will be the producer of the series, not the animation studio that will actually be working on creating a TV adaptation.

Interestingly AnimeJapan 2022 Twitter Page recently conducted a poll asking fans which original manga series they would like to see animated, with Kaiju ranking #8 at #10th most anticipated production.

Various theories about the potential animation studio are already surfacing online, with popular YouTuber ForneverWorld commenting on how perceptions of an anime adaptation will change.

A monstrous kaiju #8 manga series

The Kaiju #8 manga series began publication in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ magazine in July 2020 and has published six volumes in Japan at the time of writing.

The series was a huge hit both in Japan and with fans around the world, appearing frequently on various “Best Manga of the Year” lists.

Actually Kaiju #8 ranked ranked as one of the top 10 manga of 2021 by School Library Journal third party for male readers in 2022 in kono manga ga sugoi and second in Nationwide Bookstore Staff Recommended Comics of 2022.

By the end of December 2020, the series had allegedly surpassed 30 million views and rose to 70 million and by February 2021 meeting with over 100 million hits by April of the same year.

From March 2022 there is allegedly over 6.7 million copies in circulation, with the series selling 22,041 copies in its first week in France – manufacturing it is the best-selling debut manga in French history.

How to read the original manga series in English

While Kaiju #8 has received six complete manga volumes in Japan, the English release lags behind; Only one volume has been released so far, with volume 2 due out in April 2022.

The easiest and cheapest way to read Kaiju #8 manga series is through digital platforms Namely media and MangaPlus. Both services offer online access to the entire catalog of chapters, currently with a subscription cheap for only $1.99 per month.

Physical copies can also be purchased through Viz Media Amazon, book depot, water stones, Bookstore and your local comic book store.
