Rush hour traffic was disrupted due to the train line being blocked
PEAK hour traffic on the St Helens Central train line was disrupted tonight due to a broken down train further down the line.
The canceled train between Liverpool Lime Street and Huyton is causing delays on the route.
The route goes to St Helens Central and other stations in the area including Garswood, Thatto Heath, Eccleston Park and Prescot.
Services have been canceled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Northern said just after 5.30pm: “A number of lines are closed due to a train breakdown between Liverpool Lime Street and Huyton.
“Train services to and from these stations may be canceled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.”
