Savannah Demelo returns to the US Women’s National Team for friendlies
Racing Louisville FC midfielder Savannah DeMelo is headed to the U.S. Women’s National Team once again. US Soccer announced Tuesday that DeMelo has been called up to the U.S. women’s national team ahead of two friendly matches later this month. She will head to the national team camp after Racing’s game against Houston on Friday evening. DeMelo will join the squad for September 21 and 24 games against South Africa in Cincinnati and Chicago. In the games, DeMelo will face Racing teammate Thembi Kgatlana. Demelo started twice for the Americans at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup. Fans can watch the games on TNT and Universo and stream them on Peacock. Tickets for both games are available on the US Soccer website here. The Cincinnati game will be played at TQL Stadium while the Chicago game is scheduled at Soldier Field.
